Welcome to Stua Catores — Family-run hotel in Ortisei, Val Gardena

Generations of warm hospitality in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Italian Dolomites

On the sun-drenched slopes of Ortisei, with an open view of the Sassolungo and the Sella massif, lies a place like no other: the Stua Catores guesthouse.

What Konrad and Marianne Nocker started in 1957 with heart and dedication is carried on today by Sigrid and Markus, together with their children Mara and Noah — and with the very same passion. Lovingly furnished, spacious rooms and a brand-new wellness area bring together tradition and modern comfort, yet the person in front of us always comes first.

In our restaurant, authentic South Tyrolean and traditional Ladin specialities await you — freshly prepared from time-honoured recipes. Unforgettable hikes begin right outside the front door, and thanks to excellent bus connections, a relaxed, car-free holiday is well within reach.

Every detail is considered. Every guest is welcomed with care.

Tradition and quality for every palate

At the Stua Catores guesthouse and restaurant in Ortisei, genuine flavour meets warm-hearted hospitality

Head chef Markus cooks traditional Ladin and South Tyrolean recipes — everything homemade, freshly prepared, and refined with salads, vegetables, and herbs straight from our own garden.

Resident guests enjoy half board with an authentic character all of its own.

The Stua Catores restaurant is also open to non-staying guests. It is well known for honest, unfussy specialities such as Schlutzkrapfen (homemade herb ravioli) and Canederli (bread dumplings), paired with a carefully chosen wine list and real attention to detail.
